Vida en Granada, Nicaragua

¡Hola mis amigos!  I made it to Nicaragua! And there are a total of 7 volunteers/teachers. We flew into managua and took a 45 minute bus ride down to our new home in Granada. It is the city of many colorful walls, it's beautiful! I'm sure I'll be able to find a new wall to match my outfit everyday. Our first full day was Saturday, the first thing we did was ride our bikes to the school where we will be teaching. It is crazy to bike in this little city, lots of cars, bikes, and honking. It's about a 15 minute bike ride to the school. The kids we met on Saturday were so excited to see us! We went on Saturday to get to know the school and not only did we do that but we played with the kids for an hour. What I've learned so far is that these kids don't receive a lot of love, so they love you instantly. They are hugging you and not letting you go within the first 5 minutes. I love the people in Nicaragua, they are so friendly and very patient.
